Queens District Attorney’s Office Fall 2022 Legal Internship

The Office of the Queens County District Attorney is currently seeking Law Student applicants for the Fall Legal Internship, which will run from September through December 2022. This is an unpaid, part-time internship open to current Law Students.

The internship has been designed to provide law students with an outstanding opportunity to learn about the Queens DA’s Office, which serves the most diverse county in the country.  Interns will work hand in hand with prosecutors.

Depending on the bureau assignment, they will engage in many aspects of prosecutorial work, such as:

  • researching and writing assignments for pending cases
  • motion and discovery practice
  • assisting with search warrant applications
  • observing civilian and police interviews, and proffers
  • Court appearances pursuant to the student practice order
  • visiting crime scenes
  • participating in community outreach with the Community Partnerships Division (voluntary)

Interns will also be invited to attend divisional and office wide legal training sessions.

DETAILS

  • The program begins in September 2022 and ends in December 2022 (flexible with school schedule)
  • Interns will be assigned to a specific bureau
  • Interns will work in person for a minimum of 12 - 15 hours a week
