Description

The Office of the Queens County District Attorney (QDA) is seeking a Receptionist to support its Administration Division. The Receptionist will be responsible for assisting with a variety of administrative functions including, but not limited to:

  • Greeting all visitors to QDA’s Administration Office in a professional manner
  • Announcing all visitors to the appropriate personnel
  • Assisting with answering the Human Resources (HR) phone line and routing calls to the appropriate staff
  • Assisting with managing the conference room calendar using Microsoft Outlook
  • Assisting the HR unit with organizing, filing, maintaining, and scanning employee personnel files
  • Scanning confidential documents   
  • Assisting with scheduling appointments and serving as the first point of contact for the onboarding of new staff and interns in the absence of the HR Assistant
  • Assisting the HR Director and HR Manager, and other Administration managers, with special projects, as requested

Preferred Education and Qualification Requirements:

High school diploma and at least one year of experience performing administrative duties or the equivalent education and/or experience.  Candidates must be proficient in using computer software in a Windows environment (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Outlook); have excellent communication and organizational skills; and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Strong preference will be given to applicants with Excel and PDF form creation knowledge. Bachelor’s degree preferred.     

Application Information:

Salary Range: $42,000 - $45,000
