The Office of the Queens County District Attorney (QDA) is seeking a Graphic Designer for its Graphics Unit.  The Graphics Unit serves an office of over 800 staff.

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:

• Creating trial exhibits including posters, photo arrays, charts, diagrams and other material for presentment in court by Assistant District Attorneys
• Creating pamphlets, brochures, flyers, and other QDA literature, including an annual report, for public distribution
• Working with QDA’s Community Partnerships Division on creating material for public events 
• Working with QDA’s Communications Unit on designing graphics for social media platforms and for press-related events
• Printing, cutting, mounting, binding and laminating materials
• Performing other duties; as required

Preferred Education and Qualification Requirements:

A Baccalaureate Degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communications or related field or the equivalent education and experience. Must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong preference will be given to candidates with two plus years of experience in graphic design and proficiency in the following areas: Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel). 

For current New York City employees, a permanent civil service title is highly desired.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 (commensurate with experience)
